9:30 am-10:30 am | How to Recognize Potential Fraudulent Claims in Your Data (Creating a Flagging System) Healthcare fraud is a pervasive and costly problem, impacting not only CMS and taxpayers but also the financial stability and reputation of ACOs. Are you confident you can spot it in your data? Fraudulent claims drain valuable resources, distort performance metrics, and can lead to severe penalties. Early detection is crucial. We have built control charts using standard deviations, calculated percentages of total value and volume, by HCPCS / CPT , aggregated by restructured BETOS to compare and contrast the models. This session will equip you with the knowledge and tools to proactively identify potentially fraudulent claims within your data by building effective flagging systems. | Gabriel Orthous, Director of Value Based Performance and Analytics, Health Choice Network Morgan Power, Senior Vice President Data Analytics, Clarkson Regional Health Services |
