NAACOS Announces 2024
Board of Directors and Committee Members

WASHINGTON –The National Association of ACOs (NAACOS) announces its 2024 Board of Directors as the organization continues to champion accountable care which allows providers to innovate care while improving quality and lowering costs. The Board of Directors helps set NAACOS’ advocacy agenda and member services for its members and its work to proliferate value-based care in traditional Medicare and with other payers. The 2024 Board consists of ten seats for single ACOs, six seats for organizations with multiple ACOs, one private payer ACO seat, and the CEO, Clif Gaus. 

Newly elected board members are:

  • Jenny Reed, Baylor Scott & White (single ACO)
  • Nina Taggart, Lehigh Valley Health Network (reelected, single ACO)
  • Tim Gronniger, Signify (reelected, multi ACO) 

The 2024 Board Executive Committee members are:

  • Chair: Emily Brower, Trinity Health
  • Chair-Elect: Melanie Matthews, MultiCare Connected Care and PSW
  • Treasurer: Travis Broome, Aledade
  • Secretary:  Stephen Nuckolls, Coastal Carolina Quality Care
  • Member-at-Large: Jennifer Moore, MaineHealth ACO

NAACOS is also pleased to announce new members of its 2024 Policy, Quality, and Education Committees. 

The NAACOS Policy Committee helps guide the NAACOS advocacy agenda to improve the long-term stability and success of accountable care. Policy Committee members provide vital feedback to NAACOS on a variety of issues, including improving public understanding of value-based care, interpreting and improving regulations by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and legislation under consideration in Congress.

The NAACOS Quality Committee evaluates quality initiatives and requirements that relate to ACOs and focuses on the role of quality in population-based payment models. Committee members help develop and inform approaches assessing providers in accountable arrangements and the data and infrastructure needed in population health. 

The continued chair of the committee is Ashish Parikh, Summit Health-NJ, and new members of the committee are:

In 2022, NAACOS established an Education Committee to advise the board on long- and short-term planning of educational activities that address the needs of members. 

Jennifer Moore, MaineHealth ACO, continues to chair this committee.  The newly appointed members for 2024 are:

ACOs are a market-based solution to help lower the cost of health care spending and improve patient outcomes, where groups of doctors, hospitals and other providers take responsibility for the total cost and quality of care for their patients.
