In conjunction with the Spring 2023 Conference, NAACOS is offering workshops that take a deep dive into key issues facing ACOs.  Workshop information appears below.  NAACOS is also organizing visits for our ACO members and their congressional representatives. NAACOS Pre-conference workshops are held concurrently on Wednesday, May 3 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm ET.  These workshops require separate registration from the main meeting.  There will be three concurrent workshops for the Spring 2023 Conference.

Succeeding with REACH: Implementation Sustainability and Advancing Equity

This workshop is designed to give REACH participants and those interested in REACH an introduction to the model’s key features. Faculty will instruct participants on how to implement REACH requirements for long-term sustainability and success, particularly with achieving REACH’s goal of advancing equity in health care.

Building the Foundation for ACO Success: Medicare Shared Savings Program Basics

This pre-conference session will focus on building and maintaining the fundamental components of a successful Medicare Shared Savings Program including compliance, data management, quality reporting, and shared savings distribution models. 

Annual Wellness Visits– Proactive Primary Care

Chaired by Jen Perloff, Institute for Accountable Care and Kevin McNeill, Lehigh Valley Health Network ACO
Speakers: Nicole Banister, Signify Health; Annie Thomas

This session is designed to cover the basics of annual wellness visits (AWVs) including the required elements of a visit, engaging primary care providers, outreach and engaging Medicare beneficiaries, adaptations to the electronic health record and following up on the results of screenings. We will also talk about the clinical value of these visits, particularly for multi-morbid, older or frail beneficiaries. The session will be co-facilitated by Jennifer Perloff from the Institute for Accountable Care and Dr. Kevin McNeill from the Lehigh Valley Health Network ACO with presentations from ACOs that have developed comprehensive AWV strategies in their ACOs. Participants should leave the session with tools and techniques for setting up a structured AWV process, including insights on operational challenges and solutions from ACO experts.
